Star Music Academy Lesson Policy
Rates/Tuition
We offer weekly, 30 minute lessons starting at $120 per month. Please note that some instructors' pricing may vary. Please call (803) 252-8133 for more information.
Scheduling/Billing
- Lesson payments are due by the FIRST scheduled lesson of the month
- Payments are due no later than the 10th day of the month.
- Students who pay after the 10th day of the month will be charged a $25 late fee.
- Star Music cannot hold the time slot if an account is not paid on time.
- All auto draft payments will be run on the 2nd of the month.
Discontinuing Lessons
If you plan to withdraw from Star Music Academy, we ask that you provide us with a 30-day notice.
Attendance/Makeup Lessons
Makeup lessons will be available for EXCUSED absences. Excused absences include but are not limited to:
- A ONE DAY prior notice of cancellation
- An illness, or family emergency
NO refunds, credits, or makeup lessons will be given for unexcused absences. Unexcused absences include but are not limited to:
- No call/ No shows
- ALL same day cancellations
- If you cancel a makeup lesson it is a forfeiture of that make up lesson
- Prorated lessons are accepted in the first month of enrollment, or if a cancellation is made by the INSTRUCTOR or SMA.
- All Star Music Academy instructors are gigging musicians. Occasionally lessons will need to be canceled due to professional commitments. In these cases, the lessons will be rescheduled.
Holidays
No makeup is given for a lesson that falls on a major holiday, or in case of inclement weather.
We guarantee an average of four lessons per month. If you receive five lessons in one month it will make up for a missed lesson due to any of the following major holidays:
- New Year’s Eve
- Thanksgiving Day
- New Year’s Day
- Christmas Eve
- Independence Day
- Christmas Day
- Memorial Day
- On the day of Star Music Company Spring/Fall recitals
